Almost all of the movie is little snippets of interviews, with Comfort unseen speaking in voice over, and the camera showing only the person he is interviewing. A lot of times there are cuts from one interviewee to another in mid-sentence while Comfort is speaking, even multiple cuts in the same sentence. Clearly the voice-over was added later for most of the shots, and there's no reason to think that Comfort didn't just cherry pick the interviewee reactions he wanted, the nods and short agreements, and put them around points he wanted to get across.
