will not watch season 2 because of "the wave"

I just saw a promo for the second season. I like the concept sat through the first season but I just can not stand the wave just like ralph may. so good luck would love to watch just can not sit through more of the unfunny wave

I was hoping they would realize how many people hate these guys and not include them in the second season. I just tried to watch a second season episode. Nope. Not an idle threat, I won't be watching. Hilariously enough, its the only thing my ex mother in law and I agree on...seriously...the ONLY THING. The wave are not only unfunny, they break up the flow/ banter/back and forth that makes a good battle. I'll be laughing at a great joke by one of the comedians and then just immediately stop when I see a nonsensical attention whore jumping around for no reason.

I've posted on this before, not sure if it's still on the board. Comedians need to remain focused for the flow of their jokes. These guys interrupt the entire show and are 100% unfunny. I'm sure if they had a sketch comedy show it might work for them but on roast battle they completely detract from the true comedy and ruin the experience for the comedians and the viewers. No idea why producers kept them on season 2.

reply

Yes. They interrupt the pace of the back and forth roasting.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

The only show the Wave belongs on is The First 48.

I liked that one black dude comic from the past episode who was clearly annoying as hell by them the whole time. What did he say? "Hey Ross, I wouldn't have done this show if I knew u was gonna have this minstrel show sh_t up here" hahaha he clearly was fine with not going through and even said "yeah... im good with not being on this show another second"

I watched the prelimary episodes, some of the comics were great. But I'll be damned if the wave is not destroying the comedy. One of the wave members was a roast battler and I'll give it to him he was decent but Dear Christ almighty someone has to get this troupe off this show. They are distracting and ultimately not funny whatsoever. They come on stage at a time when I am laughing at the comedy and whatever joke comes after they appear, I as a viewer do not enjoy at all because they've killed my mood. They're awful. They're unfunny. And for this show to be the comic gold that it truly is, they need to remove the horrible hideous horrendously unfunny wave.

reply

They definitely try and steal the attention away from the show and they're effective in doing so, but not in a good way. The focus should be entirely upon the battlers themselves...The Wave completely screws up the flow of the battle itself and serve no purpose outside of throwing the comedians' game off.
