What'a with all the red hair!

About 2% of the population of North America are redheads, but in Hallmark movies the percentage is about 30 times that! At least among actresses in leading roles. Even when the lead adult role is played by a brunette, as in Crown for Christmas, the little princess has red hair! (Though I'll admit she was very good.). Why is it that red hair is so popular with the people who cast these movies? Commercials too.

That's a very good question that I doubt anyone can answer. Alicia is one of Hallmark's most popular actors so I'm sure that plays into it. Maybe red looks good against the white winter snow.

Redhair picks up better on the HD spectrum...brown can often come out looking woodie the verrrry black often reads like a hole

Ms Witt is so bad in these, that I was extra glad to see her eaten by zombies on The Walking Dead.
