Anyone else find it an interesting choice for the lead actor? Knowing that Pokemon is huge in Asian, wouldn't it have made more sense (box office wise) to cast an asian lead actor (or at least a white actor) than a colored guy? Now I haven't seen the actor in anything and I'm sure he is a good actor (and in this role) but did his casting possibly cost the film money? Thoughts?

Marketing wise you have your Ryan doing the voice which gets you the US audience, but the reality is black actors don't draw in the box office number in Asia which is where you would expect this type of movie to be bigger... But for some reason they decided to do a token black actor which might get them some brownie points with the SJWs but even if it magically pulled in all the blacks in the US it would still pale in comparison to the number of asians you could have pulled in by getting some popular asian actor into the role. Granted no young asian actor would likely pull in a big piece of the American audience but that was the point of Ryan doing the voice to get the Americans... So this is just a marketing fail because someone wanted to cater to the black SJWs that are always in hysterics if they don't see a token black in every movie.

Everyone is a racist you idiot. People are attracted to other people in large part because of physical appearance which is predominately the result of a person's race. Every SJW is a racist that is just too stupid to admit it. Go look at how you are attracted to and ask yourself if they look that way because of their race - if you are honest you'll have to admit that they do. Their hair color, skin color, eye color, bone structure, type of hair, everything is based on race.
