At the end, either before or after the credits, it says "RIP Jerry Heller ??-2016" but it doesn't mention anyone else. They could have given a shout out to Eazy. Seems like he was just as much of a friend to her as Heller, probably even more.

I woke up this way...

I get what you're saying. Since Eazy's death wasn't even mentioned in the film, why not do a memoriam at the end of the movie if they did for Jerry? I took Jerry's mention to be because he had just died in September, and many shows will do a memoriam for someone who has recently died.

Then I get not mentioning Eazy's death in the film because it already had so much going on in the mid-90s. They deemed Tupac's death relevant because Suge was with him in the car, and Suge became a big part of the film by then.

Did we really need to see that brought up again? We all know the grim details of Eazy's final days, and the SOC movie did it justice. This movie didn't need to retell that part of the story. It would have been both repetitive and a distraction. Seems like this movie tried to steer clear of what SOC already delved into. I'm glad they sidestepped the whole hoodlum who died of AIDS narrative about Eazy and instead opted to focus on him as being more rational and easy going.

Im not saying make it a big topic but highlight it. It was a big event in 95 at least they should of did a new report like the did tupac and moved

Excuse my type errors....i was asking why didnt they documented eazy e death in 95. It was just as important as tupac death that had to affect michel le. He was her boss and friend..

reply

Exactly! At least an honorable mention, or even RIP shoutout at the end. I think it is actually irrelevant to the story she is telling, though. Pac's was only briefly mentioned bc of the placement of Suge and how things unfolded after that. More of a circumstantial thing, than a touching/emo/valuable thing, like I imagine E's death was. If shown, it would've taken on legs of its own, detracting from her story. SO MUCH editing must be done to get to the bones of a story and let your true point/plot/moral shine... This is even more true of stories portrayed on-screen (vs just written or told), thus is more difficult to execute. Though undoubtedly impactful, E's death was unnecessary to cover here.

That said, I DEF did not understand why it was missing from the ending credits.

This is a Lifetime movie, that's why.
