Not disagreeing with you regarding the kids attitudes but you are underestimating how important knees are to sports players. Any type of injury is treated with the up most care. I could see why he was so stressed. He acted like a child but he probably was never taught how to successfully deal with adversity and he just did what came natural.

It's like pulling teeth getting them to attend class, and take quizzes and tests, write papers, etc.. It's absolutely pathetic. They are told that they need a certain GPA in order to graduate and move on to another school, yet the advisor has to constantly hound them to do their work. I doubt it's like this at D1 schools. They would just kick your ass off the team.

Kids? Are they 12? No....they are all adults. Granted, they don't act like adults, but I guess they can, since they okay ball.

these are kids with athletic talent and that's about all the world's given them.

except for the hakeen guy with the great mom. he's just a punk. maybe she babied him.

the kid with the injured knee is a mensch. he wants to play, came out of nowheresville.

malik is a guy who would have done better in a more sane & structured program. he is a punk too,
made more infuriating because he has plenty of brains, superior football talent. the coach bugs him.
he'd bug me too.

most all of them have zero responsibility - the program did a poor job of monitoring them on a daily basis,
since that is apparently what would be necessary to get these knuckleheads thru the bonehead curriculum.

the coach is a great big fat bellowing classless goof. his strength is speaking ghetto talk to recruit the fast kids - he doesnt spend a lot of time working up an offense, doesn't think it's that important - maybe he's right.

i'm in about 3 episodes, these are my initial impressions.
