Bs and Vs

So I hear a lot of Spanish speaking people interchanging Bs and Vs. For example, people were calling Veronica, "Bero". I know "Vero" is often what people say as a short version of Veronica, but Bero?

Are the Vs and Bs interchangeable or is it more of a slang/dialect thing?

reply

It is just a part of Spanish. Recently, i heard the term "movil", which is the Spanish word for "mobile".

Yes, I know but my question is, is it correct? Are Bs and Vs interchangeable?

Interesting. Thank you :)

In Spanish, both Bs and Vs are pronounced exactly the same, like B as in boy. The V sound that exists in English does not exist in Spanish.

Thank you for that :)
