Laughable, the way women characters are written

Which era did the male creator belong to? The women are just ridiculous caricatures of what a sexist man would think women are like.
If you wanna die of alcohol poisoning, drink every time the women characters do something stupid that hinders the men from solving the case.

You sound like a dogmatic fool. The male characters were written as basket cases as well.

You must want real life to be adjusted to fit your ideals.

Lucy was nothing but straightforward, honest, helpful. She had her "past" and was unapologetic, that was then this is now. She had self-respect and was dignified. I dunno, I think that's not sexist in the slightest.

Someone who disagrees with you is NOT a hater 😉

I completely agree. This sort of sexist Hysterical Woman trope just drives me up the wall. It's something I thought had gone out of favour a while ago. Guess not.
I'm only on episode 3 but the female characters are grating on my nerves so much due to how poorly they're written. Then I see it's created and written by a man. It makes so much more sense suddenly.

I could maybe stand one woman being a little unhinged (although it'd be really nice for that NOT to be the common case in these detective shows) but the two with the largest roles in solving the crime (Nina & Linda) are both neurotic, with one actually totally incompetent in many scenarios because of it.

I find Nina absolutely cringey to watch and she has zero likeability. I can't imagine I'll finish the series if I have to put up with that BS the rest of the time.
