On episode 4,while contrived,it is good

it has been awhile since I've seen something with so many characters that are so flawed. In fact all the main characters are so troubled and not just flawed,but overly flawed that it is a bit irritating. And there, so far isn't anyone who is a central stable figure. This helps create tension,but it is super contrived. Usually there is one character that has some stability. So far none here. Lol...

Even so,it is interesting and intriguing. And I'm sold on wanting to find out about the mystery.
Maybe,I just thought,the German detectives are stable enough,,,at least so far..lol..but they at this point still adjunct,not central,so it doesn't serve as stability.
It feels Iike much of the tension surrounds the concern that things may go wrong because the characters are all so full of problems,rather than what the mystery is about. It is that that drives the tension much of the time,rather than the criminal aspect.

The psychiatrist is a sleazy,disturbing character as well.
One other thing. While I am a supporter of sensible gun laws,here in America,which don't have,sadly. It is odd to see the police unable to protect themselves.
It was odd to see the ghost detective at then end of the ep have access to this dangerous criminals gun and not take it from him. If for no other reason than to keep the gun from the criminal. That felt odd.
