This movie isn't great, but man there are some real moments in this movie where Burt Reynolds is vulnerable and we see him reliving his past in this character through movie and TV clips.
It's so haunting how he allows us to see how age takes so many things away from us.
Hopefully, he gets nominated for something
Yes, he was great; always has been. Extra haunting when I saw it because it was just after he'd died. It's nice that he went out with a pretty good, if not great movie, with a great role, instead of some silly car chase nonsense. I even liked Winter (after the first half), who I loathe on "Modern Family".
shareI watched this a few days after we lost him and I had totally forgot that he was the title character in this movie. So when it started and I saw it was him, it was quite a journey for me to the end of the movie. Those flashback scenes were amazing and very moving. I thought it was a pretty good film, made all the more moving by his recent loss.
