I'd watch the Olympics if...

If I could stream each sport on my phone as I feel fit to watch them. It is already delayed. Just let me watch each sport. It would be so each. Then I could binge my Olympics.

There is no way I'm setting up a time to watch. Cable is a dead platform, let it go.

The NBC streaming app has full replays for all the events, but you need a qualified TV plan to sign in.

Yeah I cut cable years ago. They needed a streaming app like HBONOW for smart tv. I actually only know one person who still uses cable or dish etc. I have my apps like Netflix, Hulu and HBO and my cable in Plutotv app and my sports with NBA and NFL apps. Why would they still cling to yesterday's tech?

Sometimes you don't get live streaming even with cable. I have Time Warner Cable but it was not eligible for the NBC Sports live streaming service. They only just added TWC so more people could watch the Olympics, but will soon drop TWC after the games are over. They did this after the last winter olympics as well. That's because TWC didn't want to pay the big bucks to NBC Sports. You couldn't watch the Olympics live because of the same reason: nobody wanted to pay big bucks to make it freely watchable. These problems are not always tech issues, but economic ones.
