Shouldn't this be a TV series or TV Mini-Series instead of TV Movie?

It is a short story not even a novel... how can it be stretched to make a TV series??

The press realease states it's a new two-part adaptation by Sarah Phelps of Agatha Christie’s 1925 short story of the same title. So it should be a a two-part TV Mini-Series.

I think it was planned as a television film and then got split as a two parter.

It was announced as a two-part adaptation from the beginning even before into production.
