What can I say?

I really wanted to like this - its my favourite Agatha Christie. I fell asleep about 10 minutes before the end of part one and woke up five minutes into Outnumbered.

I really wish I hadn't missed the first five minutes of Outnumbered - and I wish I'd had a 50 minute nap at the beginning of Witness for the Prosecution.

I don't think I'll bother with Part 1. I know how it ends and (well I suppose we all do) for pure entertainment value - I'd rather have the 1957 film version.

I don't know how it ends and resisted the temptation to check summaries of the short story and previous films (which I haven't seen). Who knows - there may be a different ending to this latest version!

(I like films about Custer's Land Stand, Charles I, D Day, Dunkirk and so on. I know how they all end!)😊

It is very slow, but it all builds up to the last half of the second episode, which is amazing, and makes it all worthwhile.

It picked up at the latter end of episode 2, by that time it was too late. It was a horrible production.

It's that man again!!

I thought the same

reply

Sorry. I didn't find it slow at all. This production laid out Christie's story as a character study of quite complicated characters (Romaine, Mayhew, Janet). Lots of ground to cover there. I found it fascinating and thought the acting superb.

chacun à son goût!

True, by the time it picked up it was too late. Slow pacing, bad photography, and a lead actress with one facial expression, all served to make this a failure.

Have you considered Pro Plus?

Just because I stumble down the road like a drunk, that doesn't mean it's the wrong one.

I've not heard of Pro Plus in years! I know my friend took it to get her through our degree course.

Back to WFTP - I decided to watch Abandon Ship (1957) on Youtube instead. Good film.

It was a horrible production with no tension, no surprise, no lights, lots of fog, lots of coughing, boring story, etc.

I wish I had not recorded this cr@p.
