Did The Handmaid's Tale begin with #MeToo?

You have these rabid feminazs who seem to advocate for strict rules about contact between men and women and don't think women should be alone with men in a subordinate position. It's utterly bizarre because these are the same women who dress up in Handmaid's costumes to protest people like Pence and Kavanaugh because they have such rules already.

It began when the book was first published in 1985.

Hmm, you might not be aware of that, but the series is based on a book released in 1985...

Hmm, it's a joke based on how the #MeToo movement seems to want to police contact between men and women and have chaperones and what not. The fictional futuristic society would likely have begun with #MeToo.

You mean women who want to be treated equally and fairly in the home and workplace. And not be subject to harassment, intimidation and subjugation. This post says more about your fear of women than anything else.

It's a female fantasy story.

Let's see, according to this timeline: https://www.chicagotribune.com/lifestyles/ct-me-too-timeline-20171208-htmlstory.html the current movement exploded on October 5th, 2017. The first episode of "The Handmaid's Tale" aired April 26th, 2017; roughly 6 months earlier. They would have started filming it back in 2016, so it's not really clear if it truly has anything to do with this lame #MeToo movement, but many [stupid] Liberal women watch that show religiously and think that's what reality is for people here in America. The truth is, a lot of the same BS sexual harassment is still going on in Show Biz, and someone in France predicted that the movement would not only die down when the excitement fizzled out, but that they'd go back to the same crapola as before. The French person predicted this based on the fact that the exact same thing happened in the French film industry a short time ago.

I don't know about you, but last time I checked, there's no "Sons of Jacob" ruling New England and Washington, there's no widespread sterility in America, (in fact, too many people are still breeding like rabbits), there are no mass toxic waste dumps, and it seems members of the LGBT community are not only NOT being hanged, they're hanging OTHER people in the court of law instead.
