Sub-Par plus some distractions

The writing, not plot-wise, which was predictable and nothing special, but as far as some funny dialogue, and a few situations (the ball gown), was pretty good. However, the character of Mandy played by Taylor Cole had no appeal, and no chemistry with Prince Colin. She was way too overpoweringly beautiful for such a "pretty-boy". However, as usual, with a Hallmark, they put way too much make-up on her and her hair was distractingly flat. When I saw Dierdre, I though that was Lauren Holly, but then decided it wasn't, because there were too many differences. Only to find out, it actually was Lauren Holly! Not sure what's going on there. She was good, and I am glad she was playing her age. It was great to see Mirina Sirkis again, as well. The queen was mis-cast, and I couldn't keep my eyes off the strange application of her lip-liner. Brown lipline and pink lipstick. Never heard of that technique before. What were they up to?

I thought both the leads were good looking. IDK about "overpoweringly" beautiful, I just found her attractive. I liked those two together, and was disappointed when there was no confession of feelings.
