This is the board for the Golden Globes tonight?

just want to make sure I'm on the right board to discuss tonight's GG show. hopefully it will be more active(?)

Wow! It is dead on the board. Hopefully things pick up tonight.

I know! I was surprised how dead it was...That's why I was curious if I was on the right board or not! Hopefully it does pick up...I'm watching the "pre-shows" on E! and NBC, so maybe more people will come here once the show actually starts.

The Golden Globes are seriously getting old and really, there is nothing to be too nit picky about. The best part is when a celeb makes a fool out of themselves and people start writing smack about them (i.e. Jennifer Lawrence being a B to that foreign reporter).

This last year there really were not any standout good movies or notable actors/actresses I really had any interest in. The year before last, there was a plethora of good movies that came out and made it what it was. I understand that people may disagree, but look at all the nominations. I can say that I know them, but do I personally watch any of their movies? Nope.

THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR. COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS HERE!!!

It will be active once the cons and Trumpbots flood it with threads bashing Meryl Streep. Just wait.

Whatever you are, be a good one.

^ No, I think they have better things to do with their time.

To reply to OP's question, I thought the same thing. I came on here to read comments on the winners/losers. Crickets.
I haven't watched an award show in years, to me it's not really worth it if you can just look on line to see the results.

I think people are watching these shows less and less these days, seems like people just don't care, and they're not what they used to be. Eventually they'll probably be broadcast on-line.

I could be totally wrong, but look at this board.

Knock if off Napolean make yourself a dang quesadil-la!

well, last night's show absolutely sucked. I think it was a combination of there not being anything really exciting that came out last year as far as movies and television - nothing that really grabbed people's attention that they couldn't stop talking about - and a terrible, terrible host. I normally like Fallon a lot, but he was horrible last night. As I agreed with in another thread, bring back Ricky Gervais.

And let's face it, last year was not a great year for amazing movies or television.

Probably not a good sign for the ratings. I didn't watch last night either but wanted to catch some of the discussion about the controversial speeches. The clips streaming on the various news sites probably got more viewings than the actual telecast.

Just you wait - the Oscars are going to be a heavy board filled with trolls, why's, haters and positive/negative feedbacks. Let the boards begin!

That's just like, uh, my opinion, man.
