Boring and predictable

A movie filled with people who go off to investigate strange noises alone in the dark every five minutes. A movie filled with predictable jump scares. Rinse and repeat for the entire movie...a total snooze fest. So boring I almost left.

Taissa Farmiga always seems wooden and stiff on film. She has exactly a handful of facial expression in the majority of her movies..shocked or scared. So this was yet again another movie where she wanders around looking scared.

Frencchiie wasn't funny. The Father was the best actor in this.

The Father was incredible.. his character did absolutely nothing to help the situation AND got his ass locked up in a coffin! loll

Totally agree. On the list of movie cliches -- if it's not already on Roger Ebert's list -- should be the one of the Non-Committal Demon.

Even though a demon/evil creature demonstrates its ability to easily kill a victim at the beginning of a movie, it will spend the rest of the movie sneaking up and attacking the protagonists repeatedly, but then always stop short of killing them and retreating for no obvious reason other than to pad the movie length out.

I watched this at a drive-in movie and nodded off for about a quarter of the movie.

Terrible movie. Overly dark and just jump scares. Awful plot and pacing.

I agree. This movie was exactly as you describe it, along with ripping off a few other movies for its lousy plot. "Demon Knight" was obviously a huge influence on the people who wrote this movie, and is not nearly as much fun. "Silent Hill" is another film they swiped a few ideas from. Not to mention stealing Marilyn Manson's look for their evil Nun. Lol. Just not a good film at all, and not one bit scary, either.
