Okay, so there's no plasmids, but I am relating specifically to the mood, presentation and even the boss fights: Jack is like Steinman, Marguerite is like a spider splicer, the trials with Lucas are like the mission set by Cohen.

There's a HUGE difference between the two, especially in terms of atmosphere.

Absolutely not, not in gameplay, nor in character. Steinman wasn't indestructible, plus Jack wasn't obsessed with symmetry.

Game plays like the weird love child of Hills have Eyes and Evil Dead to me
