Great survival horror game, not really an RE game though.
This game was terrific but as far as it being in the RE lineup Its more of a "in the same universe" of umbrella type story.

shareIt's no less a 'Resident Evil' game than 4-6.
share6 was borderline but you are right about 4 and 5. Those 4 entries in the series were nowhere near as good as the originals and remake. Never played code veronica in its entirety. I will on vaca in a few weeks.
shareI mean, I kind of get what you're saying. I actually love RE 7, but it's not up there with my favorites in the franchise, 1/REmake, 2, and Code Veronica. I do like it a bit better than 3 though, believe it or not. I think 7 has a lot of classic elements (puzzle solving, corridors, it's a much slower paced game than 4-6, back tracking, that feeling of isolation). It's not perfect, but I do think it's a great game, even a great 'Resident Evil' game. I liked 4 and 5 but they both were pretty divorced from the series (5 tried to tie things back in). 6 had ties to the classic entries but on the whole it was just a very disjointed game. I enjoyed Leon's campaign, and Ada's, the other two were pretty damn bad though. Imo, 7 is a much more focused game than 6 -which tried to be a jack of all trades - and it takes the series back to the survival/horror roots that 4 and 5 went away from.
