Question about Lucas spoilers

I played through RE7 and have already returned it, but I'm hoping someone could clear this up as I can't go back to the in-game files.

We learn eventually that Lucas was cured by Tentsu, and in exchange spies on his family. This makes a bit of sense since he was shown to be psychotic before Eve infected the family.

Anyway, it's establised that Eve can basically hear the thoughts of whoever she's infected.

Shouldn't she know that Lucas was cured? How could she not know that Lucas was in cahoots with Tentsu? At some point Lucas had to make contact with someone from Tentsu to organize their deal. How could Eve miss that?

Even if the molding wasen't mature enough to read his thoughts when he was cured, shouldn't Eve notice something's up when she can't read his thoughts when she could read the rest of the family's?

Did I miss interpret this, was it addressed in the game?

If he played into her desires to be a family I dont think she would have cared. The reading thoughts and mold was a way to control them. If she didnt need to do that to get cooperation, I doubt she'd care.

It's indicated that he was more than a spy, but also a possible researcher/analyst who is part of a control group.

It's possible that there are certain hiccups within Eveline's design, especially with regards to how much influence she would have in different stages of infection.
