possible RE8 storylines? (spoiler warnings)

so ive played this game twice now and really love it, it has me thinking about what the next game could be. if RE7 was supposed to be reminiscent of RE1 (with the mansion/farmhouse etc.), then RE8 will hopefully be reminiscent of RE2. I think it would be awesome if RE8 took place a couple months later (like RE2) and the "moulded" has made its way to the town of Dulvey, Louisiana infecting and devastating the entire town. The protagonist could be a random citizen who lives in Dulvey and is forced to try to survive, and figure out whats going on. i really like the new style for the series, hopefully they use the 1st person thing for awhile.
What are your thoughts on this? what would you want in RE8?

Well don't forget Vendetta is coming out and the Not-a-hero content.. so we still have more to learn..

i was sort of thinking the exact same thing
a small town setting for the next game would be the best way to go

They should have you start similarly in a Mansion or something and then once you get to the back door like in all those games and it opens up you discover you're in a town.

Basically have it start off like RE1 and then it suddenly becomes RE3's Raccoon City environment.

I'll tell you what I want in a possible Resident Evil 8 game and that is returning characters.
