Same tired old misdirection (SPOILERS)

Oh Rob - you are a one!!
I don't think I have ever seen you play a good guy so I was expecting this "twist" in the tale.
Oh Joe - you are following Rob's lead - maybe it's because you look like a villain - I know you are up to no good!!
Did we ever doubt that the heroine was the villains daughter?
Who knew that people keep a spare set of keys in an open drawer at work?
Of course it was obvious that Gunnar was going to leave her house immediately after saying he had all night to wait for her there.
And of course the heroine would open a noisy window and take flight instead of hiding until she could leave unobserved - having screeched out of the window and run off down the middle of the road she would make sure to turn in a well lit street so as the pursuing Gunnar could see her face - as you do.
Now - for the coup-de-gras of obvious story telling - make the heroine flee to the real villains hotel room and have him leave incriminating evidence lying around so as she can find it.
Dear oh dear - why - one wonders - did he say that he had seen photographs of Shay taken by Gunnar - why not just well - remove them and destroy them?
And why keep a bit of a card that was evidence - again - why not destroy it?
I hope the plausibility factor improves - but I doubt it will.
