I just happened upon this show and I'm so glad I did. I have enjoyed both episodes so far. Lots of twists and turns. The acting has been very good as well. Someone had mentioned having a problem with the thick British accents, but I don't find it that hard to follow along.
Any ideas on who the killer is? This may be too obvious, but I was thinking perhaps her love interest guy or the captain lady. I really don't think it's Gunner.
I don't think it's the Captain. I don't think it's Gunner either (hope not), but, I do think he's up to something. Maybe he's undercover investigating or something. Could be O'Dowd
I'm enjoying it alot and intrigued by what's going to happen. Very rare for that to happen nowadays but there's two shows on at the moment where I'm hooked to find out what happens
I am surprised Philip Glenister was killed off so soon
I'm not familiar with Philip Glenister's work (perhaps I should be). I saw another thread about him being killed off too quickly. Does he normally play leading roles?
Can you please share what the other show is? I'll probably enjoy that one as well.
Yes, Philip is normally abit of a leading man - Life on Mars, Prey, Outcast, Ashes to Ashes, Demons, Mad Dogs - so I found it surprising he was killed immediately. He was probably the most well known name in it
The other series I'm really enjoying is Paranoid. It's also on ITV. Some people may not be enjoying it as it's abit cliched, but, I'm hooked on it and can't wait to find out what happens. Incidentally, it stars Philip's brother Robert Glenister
It is abit cliched and the female detective is annoying but the story is interesting - the murder of a GP and the father of her child (bit more complicated) and Robert is doing great in the role. It's getting more and more interesting
Funny you mention the female detective. I actually hesitated to watch it once I discovered she was in it. I have not liked her in anything I have seen her in, namely Luther and Human Target.
I just finished watching the first episode and really enjoyed it. Yes, Robert is a good actor. Still don't like the female detective (how can someone be unlikeable in almost every role they play??). Looking forward to the rest of the series and to figure out who did it.
Is it just me, or is that lady (I think her name is Lucy) a bit creepy?
Yes, Lucy is abit creepy, but, she gets better and is likeable in episode 4. Nina, the female detective, annoys the snot out of me in episode 4. She must be the most annoying character on TV at the moment which is a shame as it's a good show and I'm desperately trying to work out who the killer could be
Did you see tonight's episode of The Level?. I want some answers LOL. I did not see THAT reveal about Frank coming at all
Okay, I just finished watching it and it was great. The reveal was fabulous. It has elevated this show to a new level (pun intended).
I have to mention that while I was looking at the cast listing, I saw Philip AND Robert Glenister listed. Did you see that? Error?
I am definitely suspecting O'Dowd, but that may be too obvious. How does this Shay guy tie in to things? Frank's wife is also on my radar. The guy running the business (Duncan) is also very suspicious.
I agree. Even the man Nancy thought was her father could have something to do with it. I wonder if he knows he is not her father and resented Frank. Perhaps that's also why their relationship is strained. This could be why he was abusive to Nancy's mom. So many possibilities.
I wonder why Nancy didn't tell her half sister yet?
Just finished watching it. I cant believe the series is almost over. I'm not that surprised by the ending. She was always a potential suspect in my opinion. But there must be more to that story. What do you think?
Yes, can't say I was surprised by that twist. With Amanda Burton in the role, it's not surprising. She was cold and ruthless though
I'm torn. I'm desperate for the last episode to finally (hopefully) get some answers, but, I don't want to see it end as I look forward to it every week. And I'm worried we'll be disappointed after such a build up (and from what I've read)
No, I haven't watched it for a while. I kind of lost interest (and I couldn't stand Nina). I will just watch the final episode. Have you seen it? Is it worth watching episode 8??
The drugs trial story (all those deaths) was just getting interesting and the reveal of Crowley's involvement was abit tense with Bobby - seemingly the only cop with half a brain despite his many issues - saving the day. But it was left open ended abiit (probably hoping for a second series) when it came to the main bad guy
On the other hand, the cowboy cops have yet another romantic comedy moment in the middle of a supposedly life or death situation was just so annoying
