So...

Is Elswit on board?

reply

Idk, but if it's the guy who shot The Master that'd be great too

Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime.

reply

Definitely!

I was thinking about that too and found this on Cigarettes and Red Vines, where it was implied that Anderson HIMSELF would be the DP...

It's in the comments section.

Lol, um no. Michael Bauman

reply

Michael Bauman is listed WAY DOWN as "chief lighting technician" which is NOT the same as DP or CINEMATOGRAPHER. England has some sort of rule about how the Director CAN'T be his own DP, that's why there's no DP listed. Same reason why here in America Steven Soderbergh ( who always shoots his own films) is credited by PETER ANDREWS. So there yo go "Friendo".

Oh you are such a stupid little child. Mike is a master of lighting and that is how Paul is going to be able to shoot this on his own. You are getting caught up in labels and comparisons. Each film is different. This one might be more different than usual in its titling or labeling that is SO important to your little brain. Lighten up, open your mind up and accept that Mike will be lighting this and giving MASSIVE amounts of advice on how to shoot this film, and shaping its look. There is no "DP" as you and your friends need to call someone. This is an effort by many, like all movies.

He's supposedly doing Dan Gilroy's film in march so it's looking unlikely
