He is an OCD, perfectionist who is a creature of habit who loves his craft more than people... she is an emotional lady who loves him.

I think it's deeper than that. The OP is leaving out the way that the relationship permutates as it goes along, the power dynamics shift constantly and the characters play mental and emotional games with each other...I think it's much richer than "he's OCD, she's emotional."

Most films set up the characters at the start and then see how their relationship(s) develop, so… what is your point?
