I'm calling it...

She leaves the guy that she's supposed to love and marries for the old flame she hasn't seen in 20 years because they glamorized some distant memories. She probably plays the charade of getting married until the last minute and runs off with the old flame...because it's "true love."

And "old" is what he is! I like Jack Wagner but he looks his age and it's not mid 40's.

Oh and I wonder how Nicholas Sparks feels about getting his book being ripped off.

Which book oh his do you think is being ripped off; I don't recall?

I'm calling it...

Calling it is generally not difficult for most Hallmark movies. Here's a general layout:
1) One or both of the leads is widowed or divorced. In recent times, the male usually needs a shave.
2) They meet under quirky circumstances.
3) While initially resistant/opposed to each other, they grow to realize they like each other.
4) The misunderstanding takes place, and it looks like they won't end up together.
5) The misunderstanding is discovered by one of them, and the final pursuit takes place as the other is about to leave the area.
6) They live happily ever after.

For older actors, kids can be added to #2-5 as was the case here.

I mostly agree but there are a few variations. #1 There has been a trend of the woman expecting a proposal but getting dumped.

Second half of the list is pretty much in every hallmark movie.

There are also the ones where the friend is in love with the girl and the girl is chasing the wrong guy. Or some variation of she realizes what she wants is right in front of her.

There's also always at least one person pushing the two together.

There's usually someone or a few people that are trying to keep them apart which can be what leads to the misunderstanding.

These principles can apply to several of the lifetime channel movies.

Regardless of the fact that they're all pretty much the same I still love them. It drives my husband crazy.

Yep, Hallmark movies are pretty much all the same.

I prefer the modern "original" action movie where

1. The macho hero is hated by the government for a past indiscretion that he was framed for.
2 . He is hated in fact by everyone. Except for one impossibly beautiful woman who sees the 'REAL' him.
3. He has the peculiar talent of avoiding bullets. A thousand are shot at him. One usually wounds him, that's it, just to prove that a bullet can indeed hit. A thousand sharpshooters wound him once.
4. He in turn shoots a hundred people from all sorts of angles. He misses once, just to prove that he indeed can miss.
5. He finally gets the bad guy, saves the world, and the government and world come to their senses and the hero is redeemed.

I prefer the Hallmark cliches!
