Unfortunately because of rampant piracy, cinema tickets, DVD & merchandising is not enough these days to pay for the movie costs. As a business, they would look to maximize their revenue through any which way possible and product placement is just one option. Countless companies do that, you just don't see it so much in a single movie/video because of the nature of the videos and products. You'll see characters using a particular brand of phone or tablet or cap or whatnot. You just don't react to it because you are busy enjoying the movie/video.
Anyways, it's a child movie, so leave your brain at home and enjoy the moments with your child. Focus on that.
