shouldn't take PD too long to match the fingerprints left at all crime scenes to one person. Sure the director thought about it yet, here he is time and time again, opening doors at every damn crime scene.

Maybe a guy having constant space outs, flashbacks, suicidal thoughts, and is popping pills every 5 minutes isn't actually the criminal mastermind you think he is?

It's not a plot hole, the character didn't give a shit.
