Anyone seen it?

This looks good.

yes just saw it. weird movie but i liked it.

I also just saw it tonight..
It was certainly an interesting movie and seemed to come together with the same fragmentation of it's traumatized hitman's PTSD . Joaquin Phoenix is a walking scar and the story, through his wounded eyes, is not especially easy to follow. But you have to know just how it all turns out.

Lynne Ramsey is an interesting director. I loved We Need To Talk About Kevin. Are there any movies you could compare this to, any similar ones?

reply

Looking forward to watch this one.

reply

watching it now....only gripe is that dude goes into a house, opens doors, touches counter tops, murders people, all without gloves whatsoever. Dude, you're a professional yet you make a mistake that a 14 year old would know better no to make. Back to the movie.

Where are you watching it?

Gloves! You're right, I better the director never considered that. You should post this in the IMDb 'Goofs' section. Bravo!

I really enjoyed it. Not a big fan of Joaquin but he was good in this. Lynne Ramsay does make interesting films.

I finally saw it and enjoyed it too. Not quite as good as We Need To Talk About Kevin but still a good film and one that I will watch again later. Phoenix was excellent in this.

reply

Gloves? Dude's suicidal!

reply

I was really into the first half of the movie. The second half just seems to drag on to nowhere. Shame though it had an interesting take on revenge films.

I just say it on Amazon Prime for free. I expect there is a reason it is streaming for free so soon. I thought it was cheap, creepy, depressing, disgusting ... stupid. If you like really violent movies with ridiculous story lines that have no point, maybe you will like this?
