Stenmark.
How Ingemar and Bojan Krizaj raced downhill fighting against the clock and those milliseconds with the harsh snow slashing up against their faces. Millions of people gathered in front of their TV sets, rooting for their heroes as they went over the finishing line. The moment before the finalized time went up on the board was excruciating, silence everywhere. Who would stand on top of the podium this time?

Seriously, I think I'll call Hollywood with this one

Or a movie about the rivalry between Hinault and LeMond. You've probably never heard of them, but "millions of people gathered in front of their TV sets" in France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and other European countries to watch.
