That there is a possibility Howard was still alive at the end ?

He wasn't shot in the head but in the face just below the eye , tho chances of living ain't great , its not entirely uncommon to hear of people surviving such injuries !

I'm thinking possible sequal in years to come !

no, not at all.

Some may say that this end is just to facilitate the conclusion of the film and make some impact, but sincerely? this is the best end for this history.

Yeah i guess , leading such a crazy lifestyle was always gonna result in a catastrophic conclusion.
