Was it just me...

Or did anyone else really lose the rag when doing some of the quests?

I don't mean in a difficulty factor kind of way, but more in how the quests were presented. For example:

My leatherworking toon was sent to a shop in Dalaran to procure a crowbar to open a crate for my profession trainer. The dwarf I was sent to advised that he would be delighted to give me his… provided I did something for him. What followed was a series of ‘favour for a favour’ quests that ended up with me doing someone’s laundry for them.

Now… I’m not saying he should have just given me the crowbar… but I have saved the world. A lot. And this belligerent dwarf is giving me crap about handing over a crowbar I would have happily paid for.

The trend continues with other quests and my character, who has slain gods, demons, dragons and undead kings, has commanded an invasion force and travelled through time itself… is still being treated like crap and being sent on fetch quests for idiots.

We’re six expansions deep in this shiz and we’re still collecting gore tusk livers to make a pie. Our characters have more titles than a Marvel Movie Marathon and we’re still doing the dirty work for plebs we could righteously smite off the map? There’s humility and then there’s being taken for a ride.

Are we really not at the point yet where outside the box thinking could come into the structure of these games?

Who loves ya, baby?
