Looks like an exact rip off of Ash VS The Evil Dead and

It's clearly a rip off of the show and to add insult to injury while are they releasing it in November after the peak Halloween season? Seems like a huge fail and marketing miss for a show of this type.

From what I gather the show has not only the dead but other demons and monsters as well. I mentioned this in the other thread that's the same as this one, but to me that's already quite a bit different. The commercial makes it seem even campier than Ash, although, I think it looks better. I've never been a huge Evil Dead fan, personally.

I've seen quotes from the creator claiming to having this show's notion long before "Ash Versus Evil Dead," but that stance has occurred with derivative shows before such as producers attesting the original "Battlestar Galactica" was in the works for "Star Wars." It seems a smidgen disingenuous.

I'd read a few scathing reviews for this series, but gave the pilot a viewing with an open mind. It's basically the same premise as "Ash" but executed with a lower budget and less envelope pushing elements. However, the lead actor is excellent and brought dimension to the character. It deploys jump scares, but clumsily done without building up prerequisite suspense to make those effective.

I found the location problematic as it's located in a decidedly small town without a populace. It literally looks like only a handful of people live there. People that have never seen "Ash" might fancy this, I suppose. I didn't.

I thought it was *fairly* decent. I was entertained. But I definitely will make a point to be under the influence when watching it.

The era of the ripoff has been in existence since the first original idea, so don't expect that trend to stop. If Ash V Evil Dead didn't exist this would still be the story of a reluctant, blue-collar type hero fighting the forces of hell in a slapstick, comedic forum and that is the essence of Ash's character in Evil Dead. So no need to defend this show but also no need to get your panties twisted so much that you post an angry rant that nobody cares about.

I hope this garbage fails and lasts one season. I'm surprised they aren't being sued. Such a blatant rip off of Ash needs to be made an example of, time for the era of remakes and rip offs to end.

id say its more in line with ted and the book of pure evil than ash vs the evil dead!

Ash Vs. Evil dead is terrible, I'll happily watch a ripoff if it improves the formula.

Some people have taste and intelligence in good, quality entertainment. Then there's those without, such as you.

me too. the first episode was nice, but ash wore me out by the third episode.

You should really watch this season. They've done something no one has ever shown on tv before.

Sorry but despite being a HUGE evil dead fan since the early 90s I thought this show was ok, I mean lets face it you are probably the kinda guy that would go "walking dead is a ripoff of night of the living dead" just because they are zombie focused.... or walker focused xD

And here I thought it was a live action remake of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo.....

Oh look...another topic like this. People need to make one each week?;p
