As for the ending, the last thing they need is another kid, lol. I enjoyed the movie. Just felt like nitpicking for some odd reason.
Well, this movie was based on Dolly Parton's real life and they did have more kids after the time when this was set. The first movie was set in 1956, I'm guessing this one was supposed to be set a year or so later. Dolly's sister Rachel Dennison, who played Dolly's character Doralee Rhodes in both of the TV series versions of 9 to 5, was born in 1959.
So her parents really did have more kids after the time period this movie was set.
Her parents had a total of 12 kids. One died as an infant as portrayed in the first movie.
Also her father had 14 siblings and her mother had 9 siblings.
Big families in the rural south weren't unusual. My great grandparents had 14 kids born over a 28 year period from 1885 to 1913.
My great uncle died in 2008 at age 95, 123 years after his oldest sister had been born.
I don't know what they have to say. It makes no difference anyway. Whatever it is, I'm against it.
