First zombie film where animals also turn?

The truckie in the beginning ran over that deer, but then it turned and was clearly a zombie. Usually with what I've seen in zombie flicks, the animals are never infected (unless someone can point me to another film that does), so this was a nice change in the genre.

I think it's pretty obvious. A medical experiment gone wrong at Biotech. It was probably rushed through, disregarding the safety aspect, to satisfy shareholders who wanted to see profits as soon as possible. Hence, the father's colleague Kim asking if it was their fault.

As for zombie animals, pets aren't allowed on most South Korean companies' trains. I don't think there is an opportunity throughout the film for an animal to turn up. All main locations are train stations and train platforms, right?

- the guard dogs in Resident Evil (2002)
- the cat in Pet Sematary (1983)

Both aren't zombie films, though.
