What is worse is that this is a British comedy show without even the slightest trace of the oh so awesome British humor.

This is American-style trash.

reply

Well it is intended to be done in the style of "Dynasty".

It's taking the piss out of American soaps.

It's not "Sci-Fi", it's "SF"!

Only the British could make a show as stupid as this. This show was actually pitched in America during pilot season, and all of the studios shot it down. Thus being the reason it is aired in UK.

Really? That is such an interesting factoid you should add it to the trivia section.

It's spitting image but with actors instead of puppets. It's ridiculous and very funny.
I like it very much.....

Same here.

It's supposed to parody the royals but the depictions of Andrew, Beatrice & Eugenie are probably spot on, and unlike the real royal family I like this show.

I don't know what the Brits have access to via cable, satellite and/or Netflix, but the more intelligent shows are now being produced by Netflix. I am turning 30 soon and for the past 6ish years, cable television has only fallen prey to the elders who don't like change.

Now don't get me wrong, the streaming services and satellite TV also exposes viewers on this side of the pond to a myriad of British comedies, which I find most amusing thus leaving me in a position where I'd rather watch British productions. To name just a few, my favs so far include: Shameless -- UK version, Fried, Fresh Meat, An Idiot Abroad, Skins and of course, anything involving Monty Python. Would anyone be willing to recommend some others? I'd love to see what I'm missing.
