Another Moclan episode?

Come on Seth get it together and 'expand' the Orville universe!

reply

If he makes another episode about how messed-up their culture is, I'm gonna quit. I hate the Moclans, their culture is messed up and irredeemable, and I'm getting tired of the social commentary about them. Quit it, Seth!

reply

I really started to hate the Moclans. Too many storylines revolve around them. Yawn!

reply

I'm like.... really? Do we really need to know more about how sexually messed up they are? Frankly, I don't have to know Bortus's sexual perversions. Nor do I like the whole Gender selection idea. Just an opinion here, but it's a Gay planet with control issues.

reply

I don't have a problem with their gender selection sub plot, but I do have a problem in that it is constantly mentioned.

I really didn't like the Moclun episodes much as I didn't like the Kingon-centric episodes in Next Gen, although I like Worf as I do Bortus.

By the way, Bortus' best moment when he inexplicably wanted a corner piece of birthday cake. That cracked me up. If they use his dryness to as fodder to others in the crew acting like a foil, it could be fun.

reply

I'm still bothered by his not getting the corner piece of cake. Why didn't she just give him the slice that he wanted?

Bortus' son is a model child. He's the complete opposite of Claire's two brats. I'd like to see an episode about him.

reply

What do you mean, inexplicably?
He wanted the flower! xD

Thanks for that explanation!!

Wasn't sure if he wanted the flower or because a corner piece has more frosting (my wife's favorite slice).

Ffs!

I really can't believe they keep doing this. Not only do they keep serving up Mochlin episodes, they're all about the same thing. They're not adding anything new to the show. They're not exploring any further themes of their culture. It's the same crap over and over. You guys said it all the first time! I am impressed though that they bothered producing all those makeup prosthetics. For producing a totally pointless episode, they sure put a ton of time and money into it.

reply

Plus, he stole the head prosthetics from Alan Rickman in "Galaxy Quest."

"By Grapthar's Hammer, you shall be avenged!"

reply

I agree that the Moclan are messed up. They make the Klingon seem enlighten in comparisons.
