Orville good but could be better?

Good show but execution is too standard.

Example, latest episode, script has doctor asking for her sons vitals; the android lists off the vitals; thus obviously the writer meant for her to show up and ask the robot but instead we see her used a tri quarter whatever on her son even before she asked. That's because the director wasn't paying attention to the script and the actors are just robots themselves.

Don't understand?

Another example, the entire show Isaac walks with his arms bent like C3P0 but unlike C3P0 the rest of his body moves like Data, perfect and fast. He can run and turn on a dime. So I'm supposed to accept his C3P0 imitation? Come on, advanced life form robot and they can't figure out how to bend at the elbow? He can spin around his feet to shoot something but can't bend his elbow?

Too much of this lazy crap. It's a good show considering everything about it is copied from somewhere. But it could be better. Instead of an unoriginal okay executed show, I hope thr second season pays attention more to execution and adds some original material.

What do you think of the android in Dark Matter? She takes the acting quite seriously, think.

reply

I can't say. I'm not into that show so my comments wouldn't be fair or have an basis.

Not disagreeing with you but the Star Trek instrument is a "tricorder" like a recorder that can do 3 different things or has 3 sensors.

reply

LOL. I couldn't remember what it was called so I guessed. I was too lazy to Google it.

Surely it will be better.. Or ville it?

"Tri quarter"?

Funny, how people sometimes hear things.
