Episode 2 was either a nod or a ripoff of that Twilight Zone Episode.

reply

I'm considering it a nod, since MacFarlane is a TZ fan.

that is one cool twilight zone episode, i'm looking forward to view this second episode now. i'm surprised how packed this board has been for months, the series just started airing in my country, many comments around this board looks pretty rough, like checking in on a board of the old place. i had no idea seth macfarlane was in a new series until i saw the promo for this coming up a few days on and i looked forward of checking it out as i find seth's series and movies a riot and his many nods to old time entertainment really speak to me, i've just seen the first episode now, i was a bit surprised the episodes are an hour long, i loved that norm macdonald had a part, just a very small so far, i didn't watch the screen at that moment but i'm sure that was his voice, the justin bit was hilarious with the contrast between his appearance and personality, also the blue smurf bit and some great lines, i'm not surprised the kind of series it is after seeing all the star wars and star trek and such spoofs through the years on family guy, there's been at least two twilight zone connections i can think of, rod serling making a dialogue and a spoof of "time enough at last", both in the early years of the series. i think i read a few years ago about a flintstone project, that would've been fun, also fred has made some family guy appearances, i must say though as much as i like these different new projects like a million ways to die in the west and the ted movies, every time i see a new project like this coming up i'm afraid it'll jeopardise or take something away from family guy.

sneaked your way deep into my heart,
cant keep secrets from you,
mysterious way you connect to my thoughts,
and i cant refuse,
she changes earth like she changes shoes,
if were in a century past,
thought i were being bewitched by your craft,
but wouldnt let you burn at the stake by the branch.

The whole show is an homage to the sci-fi genre.
