Best Hallmark Christmas movie herione

Three nominations, based on number of roles and qaulity of performances

1. Lacey Chabert - Certainly the go to right now with 2 movies last year

2. Candace Cameron Bure - The queen of the genre

3. Alicia Witt - Does not always get the best material, but has been in several of these.

I have to go with Candace Cameron, though you could blame that on Full House

I would be happy to hear more nominations, though I would think it needs to be someone who regularly does one of these

I'll nominate Paul Greene as best Christmas movie leading man. It's not the holiday season without him in at least one movie. Preferably more!

reply

I can't stand Alicia or Cameron. I'd go with Bailey Madison.
Alicia is always the shrew who turns nice. We have that on Once Upon a Time. Cameron is always the work a holic who has never been kissed. Women are more than half the work force. Think they can find happiness in both.

reply

Bailee Madison is 17. Not sure she qualifies as leading lady/heroine just yet. I'd nominate Kelli Martin. Loved her in The Christmas Ornament.

reply

Oooh good one I love Kellie Martin. I always find her to be so believable and sincere no matter what the role is.

Danica McKellar, Lindy Booth, and Shannon Elizabeth are my top three. However the majority of my favorites are played by "one offs" unfortunately.

Would love to see more Christmas films starring Katie McGrath, Cristina Rosato, Joely Richardson, and Arielle Kebbel.

Oh and Meredith Hagner MUST come back to do more after making the very best Christmas movie last season, A Gift Wrapped Christmas (2015).

reply

I almost put Danica McKeller in the poll, but I thought she needed one more movie. Lindy Booth, loved the famous Jett Jacksion, and Shannon Elizabeth have only appeared in one of these that I can remember so that is why I did not include them. If the present pace keeps up I think Danica McKellar will be the number one star of Christmas future.

reply

I'm not a fan of Danica. She always looks worried or about to cry.

reply

Thanks for that recommendation. I must have missed that movie last year. I hope they repeat it.

reply

It's actually a Lifetime movie, but I see that Hallmark recruited Meredith Hagner to star in one of their films this year! - My Christmas Love (2016)

Quit exhaling! You are contributing to global warming.

reply

Thank you. I'll look for that new one next month.

reply

Very glad to see that Jill Wagner has another Christmas movie this year.

Cristina Rosato is wonderful, but really sure that she has had a LEAD - yet!

Gotta love anything with Lori Loughlin.

reply

I enjoy Lori Loughlin's Garage Sale Mysteries as well as her Christmas movies.

reply

I Like Lacey, but do not like Kelly or Danica. Are you limiting it to just Christmas movies?

reply

My favorite is Katrina Law and I love Sarah Lancaster too. They've been in some of my favorite movies. For guys it would be Paul Greene Brennan Elliot.

reply

If we're talking Christmas movies, then it has to be Lacey Chabert. The woman has carved out a niche for herself.

For females, I really enjoy Erin Krakow (a little biased cause I watch When Calls the Heart). But, she just seems so nice. I also like Lauren Holly. She's been in some good one's.

I normally like Lacey in Christmas movies (Matchmaker Santa was one of my faves), but I didn't care for her in this one. She was rather annoying. Maybe she was supposed to play that way, but it just didn't impress me.

For males, I love Jesse Hutch, Andrew Walker, and Eric Johnson.
