Frank makes me laugh

Maybe it's gallows humor, but something about Bernthal's Punisher plays like a well-timed punchline with me at times.

First time was when the Irish gang members set off his trap.

And in the season 2 finale, I laughed out loud when Billy called out to Curtis, and Frank walks in. Also when Frank cuts off Billy's apology. Huge LOL when Schulz screams at him, calling him a murderer, and his only response is, "yeah."

It's really the only aspect of this series that reminds me of its comic book origins. And the biggest part of why Bernthal beats out Stevenson, Jane and Lundgren as my favorite Punisher.

Yeah there were quite a few moments when I laughed. Shame it's probably going to get cancelled.

Yeah any day now that announcement is coming. You can't cancel DD and keep Punisher. Netflix is severing Marvel ties.

disagree. The showrunner has talked about doing a season 3 since now that Castle's journey to becoming the Punisher is complete, we'll finally be able to see him act the way he's meant to. That means a more engaging story with more action should season 3 happen, which it likely will. It's not always about ratings. DD may've been the better show, but Murdock's story was complete by the end of S3, anything more then that would've just been a rehash of season 2. Castle's story, however, is only just beginning

They didn't cancel DD due to lack of ratings. It was a very popular show. It was because Netflix no longer wanted to pay production costs for Marvel shows. Netflix was taking on the costs and with Disney streamer service coming it meant diminishing returns. They're all about long-term subscribers and for Netflix there is no long term with Marvel properties.
