Could Billy's betrayal have been made more obvious?

They had like four different conversations about Frank trusting him before the end of the episode revealed he was working with Rawlings...

Was there anyone who was surprised?

I think they felt compelled to oversell the trust thing, given the character’s name

I’m not a huge Punisher fan, but even I know who Jigsaw is

I only heard about Jigsaw after I was finished watching the show, but I pegged him as a bad guy the first time his character was introduced. The folks aren't very good at fooling us.

Having seen the not-so-appreciated “Punisher: War Zone” and being fairly familiar with some of the comics he’s in, I of course knew Russo was bad news from the start. The only thing that surprised me about him in this show, is he was made to be Frank’s former best bud (and a marine himself, no less).

I’ll be frank (no pun), for a while I was wondering how they were going to have him turn on Frank because his loyalty towards him, even if it was “overemphasized”, seemed sincere. But yeah, whether you know his character’s background or not, I can’t see many people being surprised by his betrayal. Bring on Jigsaw.

The trailer showed Russo blowing something up and a lot of the articles and stuff written about the show had him as a villain. I don't think it was meant to be that much of a secret.
