Iron Fist was terrible. Horrible acting and the fight scenes were unbelievably bad. It was worst than Jessica Jones, whose saving grace was the Purple Man. It seems like all of Netflix's Marvel series other than DareDevil are complete shit.
I still hope since Jon Bernthal's performance in Daredevil was outstanding. Please don't let me down Netflix.
Though I actually liked Iron Fist just fine, I have no problem calling it the most flawed of the Marvel Netflix shows. And after seeing the reception it's gotten, I'll admit that I felt a bit worried for The Punisher (possibly even the hugely anticipated The Defenders). The upside is, Iron Fist has so far been the only real misfire for Marvel & Netflix. Say what you want about Jessica Jones and Luke Cage (I myself wouldn't put them anywhere near Daredevil's league, even if I like 'em), but those shows are considered, by and large, to have done justice to their characters.
Iron Fist for most seemed to have missed the mark where it mattered - its leading man and fights sequences. But knowing how Bernthal did a superb job in Daredevil (and keep in mind he's taken the character extremely serious), I can positively say we won't be having another Iron Fist situation in The Punisher at least from a character - and acting - standpoint. Ultimately, I do believe The Punisher is a show that really needs to make an impact and succeed in almost every aspect, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I think the show will be fine. I'm not worried at all. It's perfectly cast, and I'm sure it will come together nicely.
