Could Daredevil make an appearance?

I feel he atleast needs to appear for a short moment. A final, one on one conversation on a rooftop or an alley and end their differences without a fight.

I doubt they're going to do it. At least not until after the Defenders.

Probably

It'll likely be a small tie-in for The Defenders (unless Defenders premieres before this? not 100% on that...)

With all the lore out there I would much rather see a Black Widow appearance I know we can dream but this would be the perfect oppurtunity. Considering the history

reply

I really hope not. It was my understanding that the punisher universe is independent of the rest of the marvel crap. If that is not true, I will be disappointed

The tone and setting of The Punisher is much closer to that of its fellow Marvel Netflix shows than it is to say, Agents of SHIELD or the movies, but the series for the most part feels unconnected to the rest of the universe. Although you do get Karen Page, the New York Bulletin, and appearances by Sergeant Mahoney and our favorite two-bit criminal from all the Netflix series, Turk. The only major difference between The Punisher and the rest is there’s no superhuman aspects to be found here whatsoever. And that’s what they were going for. So no, Matt Murdock has nothing to do here; after what happened to him in The Defenders, I wouldn’t expect him to show up anyway.

Now I expected and appreciated that the series focused on Frank and the world HE knows. As some reviewers have pointed out, though, the show could’ve possibly benefited from acknowledging a few of the “bigger” things occurring in the city. Perhaps it would feel out of place for this show, but at the end of the day, Frank does occupy the same universe as the “enchanced” heroes. At any rate, Daredevil’s show and a lot of the other “Marvel crap” is, I’m both afraid and glad to say, superior to Castle’s series (it’s brutally fantastic but it ain’t the cream of the crop yet).

I would argue outside of the duds of Iron Fit, and Defenders MOST of the Netflix stuff is better than the MCU crap.

I still don't understand the hate for Defenders. I thought it was great.

reply

I didn't hate it but it was definitely rushed. The fight choreography is what gave it away. Just look at the fight scenes in Daredevil season 2 then look at Iron Fist and Defenders.

reply

I thought the fights in Defenders were great. The only one that looked wonky was the garage fight with Jessica and Luke fighting. There were a lot of cuts to mask Gao's stunt double since the actress is way too old to do any amount of physical activity.
