How are the Ratings Determined?

General Question here.....

As of this morning, one day after the Match Game 2016 pilot premiered, IMDB has posted a 6.8 rating. Yet at this same time ALL of the people who have actually written reviews have given it a "ONE" (Awful) rating.

I do not understand why there is such an incredible difference between the posted rating and the ratings given by ALL of the reviewers....

Superficial types who feel good that the show was revived (terribly, for the reasons mentioned in many posts) and the same people who feel good that Rosie and Alec were included (and who are disliked for numerous reasons) also commonly throw things up and hope things stick, vote..,Democrat.
