Failed Reboot. Another name for it: The Democrat Match Game?

It is so one sided its disgusting. You have that fat pig Rosie O'Donnell who is a child abuser and EVERY time they have to do a Donald Trump insult question. I wonder, where is the Illegal Email Server Hillary Question? Or Murdered Ambassador? It is so one sided its disgusting. I am not even for Trump, but when a show is obviously political and pushing one side it's disgusting. Fire them all and reboot with less politics.

I believe tonight was the 4th or 5th time they have either slammed Trump or a Republican candidate. Some of the celebs were desperately trying to bend over backwards to show the audience that they didn't like Trump. We know. We know. And like you, I am not even a fan of Trump. But man alive it is a bit blatant. Even a benign show like 100,000 Pyramid has gotten into the act a few times this summer.

And it does seem like almost every ep that Rosie is on, they have one of these questions. I don't think that is a coincidence.

Wasn't Rosie's daughter raised by nannies, with her claiming Rosie is a phony?

When did Rosie abuse her daughter?

And how is it political when all the show is doing is riding populist waves to get more people to tune in. The ratings will probably get higher as a result of poking fun at Trump. The show isn't on PBS, so it needs high rating figures to keep sponsors happy. What else would you suggest to let the show earn its ratings without going after big, successful names? To find anyone to fill the spots of panel and emcee and keep the right atmosphere like the 70s version had isn't easy, as scores of reboots have already proven. Trying to get the current lot to find better ways to get a laugh isn't easy but is probably possible.

It's not working. This show is losing viewers every week. And it has a successful lead in shows.

renewed , ha!

Honestly they shouldn't touch politics at all unless they are going to poke fun at both sides. They clearly haven't done that. So you alienate a lot of the audience. But Baldwin is going to do what he wants to do.

reply

It would work if it was poking fun at both sides. I actually don't like Trump at all - but I loathe Hillary. There has been one Hillary question and it was tailor-made to poke fun at a big topic (either interns or the email scandal) but the whole panel just bent over backwards to kiss her a** and the audience was barely even chuckling. They could've positively skewered her the way they do to Trump, but instead they're turning this into a Game Show version of The View.

reply

Relax.

It's supposed to be a suggestive kind of show, but it's all in good fun.

Am I the only one who didn't know who Isaac was prior to this episode? I've been familiar with all of the panelists before him? He didn't come off as very funny either.

reply

What I don't like is the constant high-fiving they give each other for ripping on Trump, like they're patting themselves on the back for a good burn. That fat gay dude in the upper right corner was the worst. Why would they even make him part of a question? I'm sick of Rosie acting like she's speaking up for the downtrodden by ripping on Trump, her and half the country are already, it's not inventive!

reply

When you put this host and these panelists together, it was predictable on paper from day one, so blame the network.
