Betty White

Have they brought Betty on for this version yet? She was such a staple on the 70's version.

reply

They really ought to ask her; she was still so good on Million Dollar Password in more recent times--much better than Shatner, lol.

reply

Lol. She's so sharp witted. I think she'd be hilarious on the modern Match Game. Plus I think the other celebrities would love it. Although I do think she'd outshine them haha

reply

I couldn't agree more. I really want to try and get on the show, hopefully it'll continue on...and maybe they'll be able to get her...she really is such a great game show icon, and thank goodness she's still with us. *knocks wood* If she were a panelist and I were a contestant who beat the opponent, I'd surely pick her for the second part of the game. x)

reply

I'm with you on that 100%. When I was little, I always said I was watching the game shows to practice when I would be on them when I was an adult. I have this sick addiction hahaha. Today I can't pass by something buzzing without looking at the person next to me and secretly going HA YES!!

reply

Hahaha!! Exactly! I've been waiting to find one that tapes in NYC instead of California. ;D I've got the game show encyclopedia, and Buzzr has been one of my new favorite channels since I learned of its existence two years ago. I'm always playing along and shouting at the TV...probably gets a bit annoying for other people around, but oh well. 😂

reply

ME TOO!! I've always wanted them to come to the Chicago area haha. I even suggest to the tv which celebrity they should pick (should it apply in a game). The only one I'm horrible at and it makes me feel horrible about myself is Jeopardy. That's in a class of its own.

reply

Yeah, Jeopardy's really elite...I did pretty well on the online practice test, and often I feel as though I'm getting a lot of them, but...Idk, it wouldn't be my first (or second, or third) choice to go on. Could be a disaster--just my luck, they'd ask everything I couldn't answer quickly enough, or at all. x-p

reply

I do really well on the college and kids days lmao!!!

reply

Ha, ha!! I really liked "Are You Smarter Than a 5th-Grader?" :}

reply

Me too. I just didn't like the host haha. Jeff Foxworthy gets on my nerves after awhile.

reply

I can understand; people tend to feel the same way about Larry the Cable Guy, lol.

reply

YASSS!! Those Prilosec commercials get turned off as soon as they start if I have the controller haha

reply

Ahahaha, his voice just sounded off in my head when you mentioned those ads...XD Yeah, I mean, I like him myself, but I guess I can really only take him a couple hours at a time. Say, as a pickup truck, maybe. 😂

reply

YES! I guess that could be said for any comedian though. I could be a huge fan of Wanda Sykes, but you may only be able to tolerate her for 10 minutes you know?

Eye of the beholder I guess. Except for Betty - everyone can watch her all day :) haha

reply

True, I suppose that could be the case for many comedians and people with certain personalities that are just..."a lot" to handle, haha.
But that's so true; her charm never wears off. She's simply un-dislikable, I think! ^u^

reply

I know I would unfriend someone before I'd ever change the channel off of Betty HAHAHA. I may have bigger issues that I need to work on, but all good things in time I guess LOL

reply

Oh yes...I definitely love Betty (and my other favorite stars) more than most people. In fact I'm not really a people-person, but I'd make exceptions for ones like her. x-}

reply

Yeah haha. To just have a cup of coffee with her hahaha

reply

That'd be the funnest. :D (I think she tweeted that people can order a drink or whatever and put it on her tab...what a darlin'!!!)

reply

Hahaha how sweet! I could just picture her turning around and saying I never said to do that. Then winking at a camera or something hahaha

reply

Yeah, that would be just like her...😁
