Reason I ask is because this seems like a cheap way out for the affiliates. Remember when Jay Leno had a 10:00pm and how the NBC stations went nuts?

I don't think it's analogous to Leno's 10:00 talk show. The NBC affiliates went nuts because Leno's poor performance as a lead-in was damaging their local news ratings five nights a week. As long as people watch, it will stay on. Though it does seem strange switching it from Sunday to Wednesday and switching To Tell the Truth from once on Tuesday to back to back airings on Sunday.
