Anyone heard the soundtrack yet?

I listened to it the other day on Apple Music, and it's not bad. I'm most impressed by "Mama I'm a Big Girl Now," I thought all four actresses did good with the singing. And "I can hear the bells" is great as well. And Derek Hough surprised me by how good he was in the Nicest Kids in Town. So far I'm not really feeling You can't stop the beat which was my favorite in the original soundtrack but maybe it'll grow on me but so far I'm like "meh"

"Who lives, who dies, who tells your story"

I just heard it on ITunes. It's not bad but I much prefer the 2007 movie soundtrack. Nikki Blonsky, Queen Latifah and Elijah Kelley sound way better on the soundtrack. The girl who plays Tracy sounds a bit weak compared to Marissa Jaret Winokur and Blonsky. I'm hoping she'll sound better live. Derek Hough, Martin Short and Kristin Chenoweth sound really good though. Link never impresses me...no matter who plays him. Harvey Fierstein is...typical so Harvey Fierstein. Ariana Grande is the ok catalog with the Tracy actress. Overall, I give the soundtrack a 3 out of 5 or a B-....not the best it could've been but not super terrible.

I agree with not feeling Can't Stop The Beat...it's not as good as the OBC or the 2007. Unfortunately...the songs are very hit-and-miss here. Im not feeling Without Love, Good Morning Baltimore or Welcome to the 60s either...all my favorites. Figures crossed the live version is better!

Not as good as the film soundtrack. The only who did it better was probably Jennifer Hudson cause her voice is amazing but I still love Latifah's versions as well.
I like Mama I'm a big girl now though, because it wasn't in the film.

But yeah I wasn't impressed unfortunately. And like the other poster said, Link for me has always been meh, only Efron came good with vocals, but bad development on the film.

Well, Mama I'm a Big Girl Now, wasn't in the actual storyline but either maybe you missed sitting through that one's credits or forgot: it's one of the songs in the credits (between "We've Come So Far" and "Cooties").
