Where are the Asians & Hispanics?
Ironic that a show about diversity does not have Asians and Hispanics. Diversity is more than just black and white.

It wasn't that many Asians and Hispanic living in Baltimore in the 60s.

Well, the story is set in 1962 Baltimore so it might have looked out of place.
Also, putting a token Hispanic or Asian character could have led to the character being stereotyped. Remember, there are many different types of Asian people (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Hmong, etc.) and Hispanic is a cultural marker (i.e. you can be a White Spanish-speaker and still be considered White).
The main theme of racial integration and not judging based on appearance, while simplistic holds true regardless if there weren't any obvious Asian or Hispanic characters.
